When your child is around 3 to 7 years old, you should transition them to a full-sized bed.

A toddler bed is suitable for kids around 3 years old.

Shorty beds are suitable for children around 4 years old. 

Small kids don't need a double bed, but children over 6 years old do. They require more space to stretch out.
